This video showed up in my email last week from TED TALKS, after the “incidents” in Boston. It’s eighteen minutes long, wasn’t sure I wanted to watch. I was dealing with my own feelings about “victim” stories, which apparently I struggle with more than I care to admit. Perhaps because I recognize some of that in myself, having been referred to as a member of a “minority,” or “disadvantaged” group for so long. Where was he going with this.
It ended up giving me a new insight, one I hadn’t seen before, or appreciated before. There’ve been lots of comments about the people who’ve lost limbs in Boston, let alone the soldiers who’ve come home from the Middle East that way, or millions of other people. This video sheds some light.
Love to hear what you think!
