Started watching this last night on my local PBS station, even thinking I knew all there was to know about the Roosevelt’s, Eleanor being one of my favorite people. Not so. Lots more to learn.
This is well worth watching, regardless of your political leanings (the Roosevelt’s represented different parties) or your interest in this particular family. There are important lessons today as many feel so disenchanted with government, the future, the world, all leadership venues, from the neighborhood to palaces. We think times are difficult because we fail to understand what came before.
Take the time to discover what it takes to deal with whatever life throws at you, as well as appreciate the people who’re willing to put self second, rise above tragedy, and seek a greater good, something larger than self. Where would the world be without such people, not just the Roosevelt’s.
