There’s Thanksgiving, and then there’s gratitude!

As we here in America, the West, scurry to get to Grandma’s with just the right side dish, to gobble it all down in twenty minutes even while maybe squabbling with our table mates, over what pray tell?  Do we even say grace?  As some have become less interested in the family gathering and more focused on getting in line to shop on Thanksgiving Day or the day after (I signed the national petition to Thank those stores who remain closed on Thanksgiving Day to honor their employees), it helps to spend a few minutes, just a few minutes appreciating the fact we have life, liberty and freedom to at least pursue happiness:

  1. jan says:

I agree – thanks to those stores who remain closed! jan

  2. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I hate to see it ruined by commercialism. I’ve heard that Ohio is considering having stores open then to pay their employees triple – maybe that will make a difference. (But still not as good as gathering with friends and family,)

  3. PS tell us where to sign the national petition.
